Jarod Lapp

Jarod is an exploration geologist and GIS analyst interested in the application of geospatial algorithms to automate workflows and enhance efficiency in exploration targeting. He brings six years experience in mineral exploration, within Canada, Burkina Faso and the United States, on precious metals projects ranging from grassroots to resource definition stage.

Prior to joining KoBold, Jarod also spent three years in the humanitarian aid sector with an NGO called REACH Initiative. Based in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Iraq, he facilitated technical trainings, developed interactive web map dashboards, and led spatial analysis efforts in support of needs assessment research activities across those countries.

Jarod holds a Master of Geoinformation degree from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, along with a B.Sc. in Geosciences from the University of Victoria.
