Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Kodiak

Parker Valdez began their career in 2017 as an Engineering Research Intern at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2018, they joined Latch as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. In 2019, they were promoted to Mechanical Engineer at Latch, where they owned and designed the interior assembly of the C2 lock and collaborated with other departments to design and prototype complex electromechanical subassemblies. Parker also performed tolerance analysis of critical subassemblies and components for high volume production, and created and owned technical drawings with GD&T for DFM. In 2020, they joined Regeneron as a Device Development Engineer, and was promoted to Associate Device Development Engineer. Parker is currently employed as a Mechanical Engineer at Kodiak Robotics, beginning in 2022.

Parker Valdez completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2019. Prior to that, they attended Ramapo High School from 2011 to 2015.
