Tamara Rátz

Tamara Rojas is a researcher and Marie Curie Doctoral Candidate at i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde, focusing on modeling organoid physiology and pathology in the human gastrointestinal tract as part of a European Union initiative aimed at enhancing preclinical models and personalized medicine. Previous experience includes research internships at Sorbonne University and Université Paris Cité, where novel in-vitro models were developed, as well as a role as a Global Regulatory Compliance Analyst at Smith & Nephew, evaluating adverse event reports in compliance with global regulations. Additional experience includes biotechnological work in COVID-19 diagnostics at Laboratorio Clínico San José, and research at Institut Pasteur on virulence mechanisms of Yersinia enterocolitica, alongside a significant tenure as a Research Assistant in synthetic biology at Cibus 3.0. Tamara Rojas holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biomaterials and Biodevices from PSL Research University and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology Engineering from Tecnológico de Costa Rica.
