Mohsen Akbari Shandiz

Mohsen Akbari Shandiz is a seasoned professional in the field of biomedical engineering with extensive experience in machine vision and imaging sciences. Currently serving as a Senior Machine Vision R&D Engineer at Koh Young Technology, Inc. since December 2020, Mohsen previously contributed as an Imaging Scientist at BioTel Research and as a Research Associate at Mayo Clinic. Academic experience includes postdoctoral research at both the University of Minnesota and the University of Calgary, where a focus was on optimizing surgical techniques and advancing imaging technologies. Mohsen holds a PhD and an MSc in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Calgary and Sharif University of Technology, respectively. Key achievements comprise the development of innovative imaging algorithms and models for noninvasive diagnostics and surgical applications.
