Dan Powell

Dan Powell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dan is the Founder and Tech Lead at Kompozition, a company they started in 2019. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Consultant specializing in Systems and Software Engineering from 2017 to 2019. From 2012 to 2019, Dan served as a Director at Dendronix Pty Ltd. Dan also spent some time at Raytheon Australia, first as a Principal Systems Engineer from 2011 to 2013, then again from 2016 to 2017. Additionally, Dan held the role of Practice Manager, InfoModelling at AccessHQ from 2013 to 2016. Dan has also worked as a Senior Research Fellow and Lecturer at Griffith University from 1999 to 2010. Throughout their career, Dan has gained expertise in various areas, including consulting and engineering.

Dan Powell obtained their PhD in Software Engineering from Griffith University, attending from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from the same institution, specializing in Software Engineering, Microelectronics, and Information Systems. This degree was obtained from 1990 to 1992.
