Abdul-Basit Syed

Abdul-Basit Syed began their career in 2003 as a Design Engineer at Aero Pakistan. Abdul-Basit then worked as a Research Engineer at Nokia Siemens Networks in 2006 and later became a Software Engineer at Movial in 2007. In 2009, they returned to Nokia Siemens Networks and held the role of Specialist until 2014, focusing on Cloud Technologies. From 2014 to 2020, Abdul-Basit worked at Nokia, where they served as a Senior Specialist, Business and Market Analyst, and Solution Delivery Architect. In 2020, they joined Konecranes as the Head of Product Security, and later became the Head of Product and Application Security. In 2023, Abdul-Basit became a Co-Founder of TeqoCloud.

Abdul-Basit Syed earned their Master of Science in Technology degree in Communication Engineering from Aalto University between 2005 and 2009. Prior to that, they attended the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila from 1999 to 2003, although the specific degree and field of study were not provided. Abdul-Basit also holds certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², and has additional certifications in cybersecurity and information security.
