Duncan Deane

Duncan Deane has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Duncan most recently held the position of Senior Field Engineer at Kong Inc. since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Principal (Architect) at REPL Group, Part of Accenture from August 2020 to April 2021.

From May 2019 to July 2020, Duncan served as a Senior Solutions Architect at Dell Boomi. In this role, they worked closely with customers to design and deliver complex integration solutions across different applications and cloud platforms. Their responsibilities included leading architecture workshops, designing and building integration flows, and performing technical assessments.

Before joining Dell Boomi, Duncan spent nearly a decade at Accenture, starting as a Technology Architect Associate Manager in January 2010 and progressing in their role until April 2019.

Throughout their career, Duncan has gained expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, as well as experience in sales and pre-sales activities. Overall, their work experience showcases their ability to architect and deliver complex integration solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and leverage their technical skills in various domains.

Duncan Deane completed their education at the University of Johannesburg from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology with a focus on Computer Science, Informatics, and Information Security. Prior to that, they attended Carletonville High School from 2001 to 2005 and obtained their matriculation certificate. Additionally, Duncan Deane has obtained various certifications, including AZ-303 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies and AZ-304 Microsoft Azure Architect Design from Microsoft in February 2021. Duncan also holds Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, API Development on Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform, API Security on Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform, API Design and Fundamentals of Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform, Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Core Services (Google Cloud Platform), and TOGAF Certified qualifications. Furthermore, they have certifications in Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation (Google Cloud Platform), Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure, Boomi Professional Architect, Boomi Production Support, Kong Gateway Certified Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, MuleSoft Certified Architect - Solution Design Specialist, Mulesoft Certified Developer - Level 1 (Mule 4), and Boomi Professional Developer. Additionally, Duncan Deane has completed the course "Kubernetes Deep Dive" through A Cloud Guru.
