Amanda Spikes

Amanda Spikes has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Amanda currently works as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Kontakt.io, a leading Inpatient and Indoor Journey Analytics SaaS platform. In this role, they are responsible for optimizing inpatient care delivery processes for efficiency and quality in leading health systems.

Prior to joining Kontakt.io, Amanda worked as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for Hub Recruiting | TA for the Modern World. Amanda worked on a project basis, partnering with start-up B2B SaaS organizations during hiring surges. Amanda also worked as an Executive Recruiter at KAS Placement Sales and Marketing Recruiters, where they focused on mid-senior level sales and marketing roles for privately funded and publicly traded companies.

Amanda gained international experience as an Interview Specialist & Corporate Trainer at VIPKID, a VC-backed education company based in China. Amanda was responsible for conducting interviews and contributing to local recruitment efforts in New York City. Amanda also played a role in promoting the company's methodologies and hiring practices through monthly seminars.

In addition, Amanda has experience as an English Second Language Instructor at VIPKID and iSE School. Amanda also worked as an English Second Language Teacher for EPIK (English Program in Korea).

Amanda began their career as an Intern at the United States Senate in 2011.

Amanda Spikes completed their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Roanoke College from 2010 to 2014. In 2015, they pursued Korean Language Studies at Seoul National University. In their junior year of college, they participated in a semester abroad in Perugia, Italy at The Umbra Institute. Additionally, they completed a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Teacher Training program at Jai Yoga Arts in Brooklyn, NY. Amanda has also obtained a Talent Sourcing certification from LinkedIn in January 2021.
