Juan David Alvarez Betancur

Juan David Alvarez Betancur has extensive work experience in project management roles. Juan David started their career as a practicante at Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) in 2011, where they worked on designing a microwave network for energy substations in Antioquia. Juan David then became a Project Manager- EPM contractor at EPM in 2012, managing various construction and lighting projects for the Christmas Medellín Venue and Lighting Public project. Juan also worked as an App Developer at APPS.CO - MinTIC in 2017, where they contributed to idea development and product marketing.

In 2015, Juan joined Cathay Innovation as a Project and Engineer Manager, providing consulting services in public contract advising, project management, and construction projects. Juan David later worked as a Production Manager at Walloom from 2016 to 2018, overseeing production processes.

In 2019, Juan held two concurrent roles as Project Manager PMO at PCSmart Group and Varez SAS. Juan David'sresponsibilities included product road map development, project management, customer management, brand style guide design, sprint definition, and financial analysis. Juan David also managed the personal and technical support of 440 technicians and 30 engineers for the SENA project at PCSmart Group.

Since 2020, Juan has been working as a Project Manager PMO at Qoopa, where they are responsible for product project management and customer management for various projects such as Lupapp, Nodos, Campein, and Chatdesk. Juan David also handles product road map development, legal applications, governmental projects, and fintech initiatives.

Most recently, Juan joined Koombea in 2022 as a Project Manager, contributing their skills to project management tasks.

Juan David Alvarez Betancur completed their undergraduate education at Universidad de San Buenaventura, where they earned a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2006 to 2011. Juan David later pursued a specialization in Project Management at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana from 2012 to 2013, obtaining a degree as a specialist in Project Management.
