Sun Choi is a Senior Research Scientist and Principal Investigator at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, specializing in sustainable environment research since June 2014. Major projects include the development of NIR laser spectroscopy for vapor measurement and MEMS-FTIR systems for indoor contaminant detection. Previously, Sun Choi served as a post-doctoral fellow at Berkeley Lab, focusing on micro-precision chemical profiling of bioenergy feedstock and inventing high-throughput printing systems for IR screening, which earned recognition with the R&D 100 Awards in 2014. Earlier research at Berkeley Sensors and Actuator Center involved direct nanoimprinting systems for functional materials. Sun Choi holds a Ph.D. and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University.
