Benedict Song

Benedict Song is the Founder, CEO, Cargo Master, and LNG Specialist of VMT, a company established in August 2019 that provides technical services related to LNG and boasts extensive experience with various vessel types. In addition to this role, Benedict serves as an Adjunct Professor at Korea Maritime & Ocean University since March 2020. Previously, Benedict held positions including Commissioning Completion Manager at ACTEMIUM Oil & Gas from November 2013 to November 2017, and Commissioning Engineering Manager at Samsung Heavy Industries from May 2001 to September 2013, where significant offshore EPC projects were managed. Early career experience includes serving as Chief/Cargo Officer at Korea Line Corporation from January 1995 to March 2001, focusing on cargo operations and maintenance. Benedict's academic qualifications include a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Marine Engineering from Korea Maritime & Ocean University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Navigation Science.
