Ilana Sobel

Ilana Sobel is an experienced freelance copy editor and book editor with a focus on enhancing writing clarity and flow since June 2018. In addition to freelance work, Ilana has been affiliated with Koren Publishers Jerusalem Ltd. and Shefa (Steinsaltz) since January 2018 and July 2012, respectively, where skills in editing books on Jewish thought, law, and history have been utilized, alongside copy editing and translating English texts of Tanakh and Talmud. Ilana's extensive background includes managing a map-editing team to improve Biblical maps and training representatives in nuanced writing at La Leche League International. Ilana also worked as an actuary from 1991 to 1998 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University.
