Jill Patel

Jill Patel has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and research. Jill started their career as a Process Technician at Stemcyte India Therapeutics Pvt. Ltd. in 2016, where they gained proficiency in processing umbilical cord blood and cord tissues. Jill also performed maternal sample testing and had experience with flow cytometry and CBC testing.

In 2017, Jill worked as a Research Intern at Yale University, where they developed expertise in techniques such as PCR, qPCR, and Western blot. Jill worked with leukemic cell lines and performed genotyping of various genes.

Jill then joined Sigilon Therapeutics, Inc. in 2019 as an Associate Scientist. Jill supported the advancement of shielded living therapeutics and executed various assays to support stability studies and qualification of GLP toxicity studies. In 2021, they were promoted to Senior Associate Scientist.

Currently, Jill is working at Korro Bio, Inc. as a Senior Associate Scientist, starting in 2022.

Jill Patel completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from Gujarat University in 2014. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the same university, graduating in 2016. In 2017, Jill enrolled at the University of New Haven where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2019.
