Taran Smith

Taran Smith has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Taran began their career at Merit Energy Company as an Engineer, where they worked from 2003 to 2011. In 2011, Taran joined Kosmos Energy as a Reservoir Engineer, and later took on roles as a Planning Manager, Director/Sr. Director of Corporate Planning, and CFO at Trident Equatorial Guinea Inc. (TEGI) - Kosmos Energy Secondee. Taran then served as the VP of Ghana Asset Management and is currently the VP of New Business Evaluation at Kosmos Energy. Overall, Taran has gained extensive experience in various positions within the industry.

Taran Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University, completing their education from 1998 to 2002.
