John R. Gavan

John Gavan functions as the President of KPFF Consulting Engineers, and blends project responsibilities and commitments along with overall firm leadership activities. He has been with KPFF since 1989 and has extensive experience in medical, hospital, and research facilities, mixed-use / retail projects, base isolation technology, and the design of exterior wall systems. He has been instrumental in finding new and better ways to deliver projects, improve the functions of a team, and improve the process and the project. His wide base of knowledge of project and building types lends to creative solutions. He is recognized by clients and team members as a collaborative team player that adds value by bringing an overall understanding of the design and construction process that goes beyond the structural engineering discipline.
