Marc Press is the Managing Principal of KPFF’s San Francisco office. He is responsible for the development of projects, clients, and employees. He is an engineer since the early 1980s, he focuses on integrating design and construction into effective project delivery methods. His experience with virtually all building materials and market segments allows him to evaluate alternative approaches for each project and make informed recommendations to save time and money. Eager to share the substantial knowledge he’s gained over his career, Marc enjoys the mentoring staff and encouraging young talent. Marc has been with KPFF since 1992 and functions as the Principal-in-Charge for a wide variety of new construction, seismic retrofit, and renovation projects. For over 30 years he has produced innovative, cost-conscious systems custom-tailored for hundreds of projects of all kinds including commercial, healthcare, residential, retail, office, and parking garage facilities. He has pioneered the implementation of several prefabricated structural systems including the Precast Hybrid Moment Frame, Prefabricated Light-Gage Bearing Wall Systems, Prefabricated Wood Residential Systems, and Precast Concrete Systems.
