Kirstin L. Cheers, M.A., currently serves as the Deputy Director of Public Relations at KQ Communications since March 2023, where responsibilities include managing media relations, public engagement, crisis communications, and special event planning. Prior to this role, Kirstin held positions such as Director of Communications at BRIDGES and Special Assistant for Organizational Communications at the Law Office of the Shelby County Public Defender, where efforts included website redesign and community outreach initiatives. Experience also encompasses work as a Communications Specialist at United Way of the Mid South, a Freelance Writer for High Ground News, and internships at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and Tennessee General Assembly. Kirstin holds a Master of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Journalism, and Political Communication from the University of Memphis, along with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from The George Washington University.
