Rômulo Cerqueira

Rômulo Cerqueira, PhD, is a Senior Robotics Engineer and Tech Lead at Kraken Robotics, responsible for leading a team on the JellyFish project, which focuses on developing an autonomous survey vehicle. Rômulo has extensive experience in robot technology development, having previously led a 15-engineer team on the JIRo project at SENAI CIMATEC, creating a robotic tool for offshore inspections. With a strong background in software development, Rômulo contributed to the development of simulation tools and systems for various underwater vehicles, collaborating with international teams. Rômulo holds a PhD in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, as well as multiple advanced degrees in related fields.
