Microbiology Research Team Lead at Kraken Sense

Amirul Islam has worked in the field of research since 2010. Amirul started their career as a Research Assistant at the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR). In 2012, they moved to the USDA Project Laboratory, SUST, where they were also a Research Assistant. Amirul then worked as a Research Fellow at UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA PAHANG from 2015 to 2018, before taking up a Research Fellow role at Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke in 2018. Most recently, they have been the Microbiology Research Team Lead at Kraken Sense since 2021.

Amirul Islam has a long history of education. Amirul began their studies in 2005, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biotechnology from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. Amirul continued their studies at the same university, earning a Master's degree in Biotechnology in 2011-2012. Amirul then moved to UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA PAHANG, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Bioelectrochemistry in 2015-2018. Currently, they are studying at Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke, working towards a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biosensors.
