Dale Cope

Dale Cope, Ph. D., is an experienced education professional currently serving as the Research Project Director for ATLAS|AAI at The University of Kansas since November 2019. Prior to this role, Cope was the Research Project Director for the Enhanced Learning Maps Project at the Center for Assessment and Accountability Research Design from April 2016 to November 2019. Additional experience includes positions as a Project Liaison for the AMP (Alaska Measures of Progress) project, Director of Education and Training Services at The Chariot Group, and an Independent Consultant. Cope's earlier career spans various roles in the Anchorage and Federal Way School Districts, including Executive Director for Curriculum, Assessment, and Training, as well as teaching positions. Cope holds a Ph. D. in Educational Leadership and Business Administration from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, a Master’s in Curriculum Development from the University of Puget Sound, and a Bachelor’s in Foods and Nutrition from Oregon State University.
