Tadd Giles

Tadd Giles has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Tadd started their career as a Multimedia Application Developer at GUI-SQLutions in 1992. Tadd then worked at Microsoft as a Product Support Engineer and later as a Product Support Training Specialist from 1993 to 1995. Tadd then joined Coolworld.com as the Director of Product Development, where they led the development and release of an Internet Billing product from 1995 to 1997.

In 1997, Tadd returned to Microsoft and served as a Program Manager for Microsoft Outlook, leading the redesign of the account configuration user interface and introducing personalized menus. Tadd then became the Lead Program Manager for Mobile Devices, managing the design and delivery of Email and Instant Messaging software for PocketPC and Smartphone. Tadd also worked as a Senior Program Manager, contributing to the development of new consumer software products and evaluating desktop and web products.

In 2005, Tadd joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various roles including Program Manager, Director of User Experience, Lead Product Manager, and Small Apps Development Lead. Tadd led the development of small web-based applications, incubated a new version of the Church's primary website, managed a large team of designers and technical writers, and improved the user experience and on-time project delivery.

Tadd then worked at FamilySearch as the User Experience Group Manager, where they expanded the user experience group and oversaw the development of a new front-end framework.

From 2013 to 2015, Tadd served as the Engineering Director at O.C. Tanner, where they created a team that built multiple web applications, introduced continuous deployment and test-driven development, and implemented cloud-based operations.

Since 2015, Tadd has been with Kuali, Inc. Tadd started as the Platform Director, leading the creation of an internal-facing Core platform team that developed microservice, docker-based shared services. Tadd then became the Product Director for Kuali Build, creating a customer-facing product that enables business users to create their own apps without writing code. Tadd later became the General Manager for Kuali Build and currently holds the position of CTO as of January 2021.

Throughout their career, Tadd has demonstrated strong leadership skills, product development expertise, and a focus on improving user experience and project delivery.
