Sonia Velasco

Sonia Velasco is an experienced benefits management professional, currently serving as the Senior Benefits Manager at Kuehne+Nagel since October 2022. Prior to this role, Sonia held the position of Manager, Benefits at Canon Business Process Services from February to September 2022, and worked as Associate Director at Fitch Ratings for 18 years, where key responsibilities included managing the annual open enrollment for over 1,300 employees and preparing related communication materials. Earlier in Sonia's career, a decade was spent at Mizuho Bank, achieving the title of Assistant Vice President and managing all aspects of employee benefits, including leading open enrollment post-9/11 and playing a significant role during three bank mergers. Sonia holds a degree from Thomas Edison State University.
