Lawrence Writer has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Lawrence is currently the Chief Financial Officer at KUIU since August 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at KidKraft, Inc from September 2017 to September 2018, and as the President & Chief Financial Officer from January 2016 to September 2017.

Before joining KidKraft, Lawrence worked at Hillerich & Bradsby Co. from November 2011 to August 2015. Lawrence held various roles there, including Director on the Board of Directors and Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer. Hillerich & Bradsby Co. is a renowned sporting goods manufacturer known for their Louisville Slugger baseball brand.

Prior to Hillerich & Bradsby Co., Lawrence worked as a Director at AlixPartners from September 2009 to November 2011. AlixPartners is a global management consulting firm specializing in Operational Improvement. Lawrence also worked at The Carlyle Group as a Vice President from March 2006 to March 2009.

Lawrence began their career at Goldman Sachs as an Associate from August 2003 to March 2006. Lawrence was responsible for managing and restructuring Goldman's leveraged loan portfolio. Lawrence also served as the co-Secretary of the Firmwide Capital Committee and Business Unit Manager.

Lastly, Lawrence worked at Wells Fargo as a Vice President from June 1997 to May 2001.

Lawrence Writer has an extensive education history. Lawrence first attended the University of Washington from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Economics and International Studies. Lawrence then pursued further education at the University of Pennsylvania from 2001 to 2003. At Penn, they completed a Master of Arts degree in International Studies and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Corporate Restructuring and Turnaround Management.
