Chris Bach

Chris Bach has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technology.

From August 2019 to present, they have been working at Kumanu as a Technical Lead. In this role, they create high-quality applications in an Agile development environment. Chris also stays updated with new technologies, approaches, and tools. Chris analyzes software design and implementation to ensure optimum performance and strong architectural foundations for products. Chris collaborates with the CTO on strategy and technology selection.

Prior to that, from March 2019 to August 2019, Chris worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Kumanu. Here, they developed and maintained new functionality for the Purposeful App (Dart/Flutter) for iOS and Android. Chris also worked on the Kumanu API (Node.js, Express, Docker), the Kumanu Engine (R, Python, Docker), and the Kumanu Databases (PostgreSQL, Flyway). Additionally, they mentored and advised other engineers, and managed the server infrastructure using AWS.

From June 2021 to March 2023, Chris was employed at MavinWorks as a Lead Software Architect. Further details about their role are not available.

Prior to that, from April 2015 to March 2019, Chris worked as a Senior Software Engineer at JOOL Health. In this role, they developed and maintained functionality for the JOOL App (iOS, Android) and the JOOL API (Java/Kotlin, Hibernate, Spring). Chris also worked on the Aristotle Modeling Engine (R, Python, PostgreSQL, Docker) and maintained the server infrastructure using AWS. Chris played a mentoring role for other engineers and contributed to workflow processes and version control systems.

From January 2015 to April 2015, Chris worked as a Mobile Application Specialist at Resort Advantage, LLC. Chris developed and maintained functionality for the Slot Jackpot Accelerator (SJA) mobile App and the SJA-API using Cordova, Node.js, .Net, and SQL Server. Chris was also involved in testing and documenting bug fixes and new functionalities.

From October 2012 to December 2014, Chris was a Software Engineer at Ideomed, Inc. Here, they developed and maintained functionality for the Abriiz mobile applications (iOS and Android) and the Abriiz web application (Ruby on Rails, Javascript, SCSS, Postgresql). Chris also worked on the Abriiz API (Ruby on Rails, Postgresql) and was responsible for setting up and maintaining development and production servers and services using Amazon Web Services. Chris followed defined processes for managing code and releasing updates and contributed to improving development processes and application quality.

From August 2009 to October 2012, Chris worked at the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP) as a Data and Technology Specialist. Chris was involved in website management, PHP web development, Drupal CMS, website UI, analytics, and optimization. Chris also handled CPanel and Mac OS X server administration, including MySQL, Apache, and PHP optimization, along with FileMaker Pro database administration.

From August 2008 to August 2009, Chris was a Mobile Web Developer at WirelessDeveloper Agency. Here, they focused on mobile website development using the .Net framework and SQL Server 2005. Chris also worked on mobile website UI design and mobile web design.

Chris Bach attended Lansing Community College from 2005 to 2007, where they pursued an Associates in Arts degree with a focus on computer graphics and web design. Following that, they enrolled at Lawrence Technological University from 2009 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Scientific Software Development.
