Katariina Pesonen

Katariina Pesonen currently serves as the Interim Head of Compliance and Operational Risks at Kuntarahoitus – MuniFin since March 2024. Additionally, Katariina is a Board member at Fastmarkets Benchmark Administration Oy (FBA) and has held the position of Counsel, Head of Financial Services and Fintech Practice at Lexia Attorneys since January 2021. Previous roles include Board member at Aristoi Capital Management from May 2021 to March 2022 and Managing Director of Aktia Asset Management Ltd from May 2011 to December 2020. Katariina has an extensive background in legal counsel across various functions at Aktia Fund Management Company Ltd and held the position of Legal Counsel at Batofin Oy Ab. Early legal experience includes serving as a lawyer at Ålandsbanken Abp. Katariina Pesonen holds a law degree (OTK) from the University of Helsinki, obtained between 1997 and 2003.
