Katherine Banwell

Katherine Banwell is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in public radio and health communication. Currently serving as a Weekend Announcer, Host, and Audio Engineer at KUOW Public Radio since October 2021, Katherine has previously held roles as a Producer at KUOW and a Host for KPLU 88.5 NPR, where responsibilities included informing listeners about local news and producing feature stories. In addition to radio, Katherine has hosted webinars for the Health Content Collective and managed projects for public health initiatives. Katherine holds a BA in Communication from the University of Washington, where earlier work included overseeing office functions and budget reconciliation.
