Tom Tonan

Tom Tonan, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a diverse range of work experience spanning over three decades. Tom currently holds the position of Director, Global HR Center at Kuraray. Prior to this, Tom served as the Director of Human Resources at Kuraray America, Inc., where they played a crucial role in developing HR strategies and aligning HR practices with business growth. Before joining Kuraray, they worked as the Manager of Human Resources at Tyco Thermal Controls, where they successfully managed all HR functions for an EPC company specializing in Industrial Heat Tracing. Tom Tonan, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, holds a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from National University, which they obtained from 1990 to 1992. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at the United States Naval Academy from 1982 to 1986, majoring in Engineering and English. Tom has also obtained additional certifications, including the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute in September 2010 and the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM in September 2015.
