Gabriel Alejandro Fernández has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and positions. Gabriel Alejandro started their career as a Supply Chain employee at Latingrafica from November 2009 to December 2011. Gabriel Alejandro then joined PepsiCo as a Revenue Management Senior Analyst from September 2012 to November 2014, and later became a Key Account Manager from November 2014 to May 2015. In 2012, they co-founded Barcity, an endeavor that lasted from January to September of that year. Gabriel Alejandro also co-founded Tienda Tales, a retail chain of fruits and vegetables, from June 2015 to August 2016.
Gabriel joined Mercado Libre in October 2016 and held various roles within the company. Gabriel Alejandro started as a Senior Product Analyst for Mobile Merchants until March 2018. As a Product Lead, they were responsible for longtail merchant initiatives, specifically the MercadoPago Point mPOS solution in Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. Gabriel Alejandro played a pivotal role in the successful launch of eight hardware products. From March 2018 to July 2019, they served as a Product Manager for Mobile Merchants, overseeing the growth and development of the product. In their subsequent role as a Product Manager for Mobile Merchants from August 2019 to March 2020, they continued to contribute to the improvement and launch of new hardware products. Finally, starting in March 2020, Gabriel became a Growth Product Manager and later elevated to the position of Growth Product Senior Manager in March 2021.
Alongside their roles at Mercado Libre, Gabriel has also been actively involved in academia. Gabriel Alejandro served as an Assistant Professor at Facultad de Ingeniería - UBA from December 2009 to March 2020, teaching courses on entrepreneurship in engineering and coordinating practical lessons for large groups of students. Gabriel Alejandro also became a member of the faculty at Instituto Baikal in September 2016, further expanding their educational impact.
Recently, Gabriel ventured into a new role as a Growth Class Lead at KURIOS starting in March 2021. Despite a diverse range of experiences, Gabriel's work has consistently demonstrated their ability to drive growth, product development, and leadership across various industries.
Gabriel Alejandro Fernández holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from IAE Business School, which they completed between 2020 and 2021. Gabriel Alejandro also attended Reforge in 2017 to study Growth Models/Retention. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2012, Gabriel studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires. Gabriel Alejandro completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from Escuela Superior de Comercio Carlos Pellegrini between 2001 and 2005.
