Simon Villa Arango

Simon Villa Arango has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Simon is currently the CEO & Co-founder of Kutai since February 2021. Prior to that, they held the same role at Conexión Inncremental S.A.S from September 2019 to February 2021.

Before their entrepreneurial roles, Simon worked at EIA University in different positions. Simon was the Chief Technology Innovation Officer from April 2018 to July 2019. Simon also served as the Director of Incubba - Patent and Technology Incubator at the EIA University from March 2017 to July 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Research and Development Biomedical Engineer from March 2015 to July 2019.

Simon started their career at EIA University as a student from January 2009 to December 2014. Simon then gained research experience as a Researcher at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg from January 2014 to July 2014.

Simon Villa Arango has a diverse education history. Simon obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering from City, University of London from 2015 to 2019. In 2017, they completed a Patent Drafting Training Course at FICPI ACADEMY OF EDUCATION. Simon also pursued an Innovacampus - Innovation management on higher education institutions course at Ruta n + Purdue University in 2016 to further enhance their knowledge in innovation. In 2015, they completed a Scientific Writing course at Universidad CES, focusing on Engineering. Prior to their higher education pursuits, Simon earned a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Bioinstrumentation from Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, they completed a degree in Ingeniería Biomédica at Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia, Universidad CES during the same period. Simon further expanded their expertise by completing a course on Pattern Recognition in 2013, as well as a course on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurship Studies in 2012 at Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia. Simon also engaged in a Telemedicine course at the VI Seminario Internacional de Ingeniería Biomédica in 2012. Simon's educational journey began with their completion of Bachillerato at Deutsche Schüle Medellín from 1995 to 2008. Additionally, they obtained a certification in DevSecOps: Workshop from Fluid Attacks in May 2022.
