Cormac Brennan has a diverse work experience in various roles. Cormac started their career in 2016 as a Compliance Intern at permanent tsb. In 2017, they worked as an Actuarial Intern at MetLife. Since 2018, they have been working at KX, where they have held multiple roles. Cormac worked as a kdb+ Developer for the AML and MAR Project from August 2018 to October 2019. Cormac then worked on the Market Surveillance Project for Cryptocurrency Regulator from October 2019 to November 2020. Currently, they hold the role of Scenario Development Lead for the implementation of new market surveillance models and enhancements to existing models. In this role, they collaborate with client BAs and the Kx development team to design and implement new features, as well as providing training and reviewing changes made by client developers.
Cormac Brennan completed their Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Mathematics at Dublin City University from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Coláiste Rís, Dundalk from 2008 to 2014, where they obtained their Leaving Certificate with a total of 550 CAO points. In terms of additional certifications, Cormac has achieved Grade VII in Trumpet from ABRSM and Grade VIII in Classical Piano from the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
