Alisha Caliman has a diverse work experience in the field of computational chemistry and biomedical science. Alisha is currently working as a Principal Scientist, Computational Chemist at Kymera Therapeutics since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at AstraZeneca as a Senior Scientist, Computational Medicinal Chemist from 2019 to 2023. Alisha also had a role as a Computational Chemist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from 2017 to 2019. Alisha completed their PhD in Biomedical Science from the University of California, San Diego in 2017, where they focused on exploring and characterizing the conformational spaces of receptor molecules for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. Alisha has also worked as a Research Assistant at Morehouse School of Medicine, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Morehouse College, and the University of California, San Francisco.
Alisha Caliman received their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General from Spelman College from 2007 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Pharmacology at UC San Diego School of Medicine from 2011 to 2017.
