Paulo Ferreira has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Paulo started their career in 2007 as a Software Developer at HIS, where they played a key role in the development of the core API of an application and helped induct new developers to the team.
In 2008, Ferreira joined ALERT Life Sciences Computing as a Product Manager and Tech Lead, responsible for the technical and functional aspects of a knowledge-sharing network and collaboration platform for the medical community. Paulo also coordinated the launch of an early version of the product at a university.
From 2010 to 2011, Ferreira worked at Grupo @Work as a Software Developer, contributing to various projects that included implementing digital receipts standards and developing integration solutions for bookstore chains. Paulo also implemented Business Intelligence solutions and introduced web development tools and techniques to enhance user experience.
At Critical Software, Ferreira served as a Project Engineer from 2011 to 2012, where they were part of a large-scale project for a major Angolan bank. Paulo contributed to the Frontend/BPM integration team, defining architecture and best practices.
From 2012 to 2014, Ferreira worked at Gamesys as a Java Web Developer and later as a Team Lead. Paulo focused on continuous improvement, line management, recruitment, and coordination of technical discussions. Paulo also facilitated SCRUM ceremonies and improved team performance.
From 2014 to 2017, Ferreira served as a Development Team Lead at MetaPack, leading a team in building a global SaaS product. Paulo adopted a Microservices Architecture and utilized various technologies to provide flexibility in delivery options for e-commerce websites.
Ferreira joined Endell in 2017 as a Principal Engineer. In this role, they led the development and delivery of a cyber-monitoring solution for a global organization, leveraging AWS tools and technologies. Paulo also provided support, maintenance, and architecture consultancy after the handover.
At Nutmeg, Ferreira worked as a Tech Lead in 2017, responsible for technical leadership and development.
In 2018, Ferreira joined KYND as the Head of Engineering and later became the Chief Technology Officer. KYND focuses on making complex cyber risks easy to understand and manage. Their roles involved leading the engineering team and shaping the company's technology strategy.
Throughout their career, Paulo Ferreira has gained expertise in various technologies, including AWS, Spring Boot, Go, Hibernate, and node.js. Paulo has consistently delivered projects on time and under budget, demonstrating their technical skills, leadership abilities, and commitment to successful outcomes.
Paulo Ferreira attended the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra from 2000 to 2008, where they studied Engenharia Informatica e de Sistemas.
