Kaija Jumppanen Andersen

Kaija Jumppanen Andersen is a specialist consultant at the Danish Coastal Authority since September 2014, currently managing the “Statslig engagement” initiative as part of the Danish government's climate adaptation plan. With a strong background as a coastal engineer, Kaija has experience in risk analyses related to coastal and fluvial flooding, focusing on climate adaptation, vulnerability analyses, and dynamic adaptive planning. Previous roles include a position at the Finnish Environment Institute, where Kaija contributed to the Flood and Risk Team, and a research coordinator role at Sustainia, concentrating on health and sustainable societies. Kaija holds a Master of Science in Geophysics from the University of Copenhagen and is pursuing a Diplom i Ledelse at Erhversakademi Aarhus.
