David Prater

David Prater serves as the Vice President and General Manager of the Tactical Data Links Business Area at L3Harris Technologies, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, David held a similar position at Viasat Inc. from June 2015 to January 2023 and also served as General Manager of various programs within the company. David's earlier experience includes a Vice President and General Manager position at ITT Exelis overseeing Radar, Reconnaissance, and Undersea Systems, as well as roles within the US Navy including Program Manager for MIDS LVT & MIDS JTRS. David's educational background includes a Master's in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, an MBA in Finance from City University of Seattle, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry & Business from the University of Utah.
