Tomás A. Magaña

Tomás A. Magaña, MD has an extensive work experience that includes founding and leading various healthcare programs and initiatives. Tomás A. has held roles such as Founding Director of FACES for the Future Coalition at the Public Health Institute, Lead Physician at La Clinica de La Raza, and Director of Latinx Center of Excellence Aspiring Physicians Program at San Francisco State University. Additionally, they have served as a medical consultant at Jeanne Reaves Consulting and as a Project Consultant at SF Tech Council. Dr. Magaña has also been involved in academia as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, an Adjunct Professor at San Francisco State University, and an Assistant Professor/Medical Director at Samuel Merritt University. Tomás A. Magaña, MD completed their Bachelor of Science at Cornell University in 1986. Tomás A. then pursued a Master of Arts in Endocrinology at the University of California, Berkeley in 1990. Following this, they earned their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine in 1995. Tomás A. furthered their education with a Pediatric Internship & Residency at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, finishing in 1999. Additionally, they hold Board Certification in Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics and is a licensed Physician & Surgeon by the Medical Board Of California.
