Dustin Karls

Dustin Karls is a Course Instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, teaching Continuing Education courses on Games in Libraries since August 2023. Currently serving as a Youth Services Librarian at La Crosse Public Library since September 2022, Dustin has a diverse background in youth services, having held similar roles at Littleton-Bemis Public Library and Verona Public Library, where responsibilities included programming, reference, and collection development. Prior experience includes the positions of Teen Maker Space and Outreach Librarian at the City of Loveland, Digital Media Lab Instructor and Project Specialist at Madison Public Library, and STEAM Educator at Lodi High School. Dustin holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature.
