Jesus Sanchez

Jesus Sanchez is a dedicated professional with a strong background in counseling and community outreach. Currently serving as the Lead SUD Counselor at La Familia since March 2022, Jesus supports documentation and client onboarding processes while also counseling youth aged 12-21 on substance use through Harm Reduction and Seeking Safety methods. Previous experience includes roles such as Program Group Leader at Girls Inc. and Academic Tutor at Oakland Unified School District, where Jesus assisted middle school and ESL students. With a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies from Lawrence University, Jesus has a solid foundation in educational support and community engagement, complemented by various internships in healthcare settings.
