Amber Kirk

Amber Kirk has extensive experience in accounts payable management, currently serving as Accounts Payable Manager at La Jolla Institute for Immunology since December 2021. Prior to this role, Amber worked at The Scripps Research Institute from December 1996 to May 2021, where responsibilities included ensuring quality output of payables, timely invoice payments, compliance with internal controls, and managing IRS regulations for 1099 reporting. Amber's earlier career involved ASL interpreting, serving as an American Sign Language Interpreter for Deaf Community Services of San Diego, Inc. from 1993 to 2010, and for San Diego Unified School District from 1992 to 1994, facilitating communication between the deaf and hearing communities.
