Mehdi Benkahla, Ph.D., currently serves as an Instructor and Postdoctoral Fellow at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology, where research focuses on autoimmune diseases, particularly type 1 diabetes (T1D). Key responsibilities include performing immunohistochemistry on human pancreas tissues, culturing live pancreas slices, and analyzing the effects of Coxsackievirus B3 on insulin secretion.
