Diego Rubio is the Secretary General at the President's Office of La Moncloa, responsible for Public Policy, European Affairs, and Strategic Foresight since January 2019, and serves as the EU Sherpa. Previously, Diego was a Professor of Practice of Applied History and Governance and the Founding Executive Director of IE's Center for the Governance of Change from June 2017 to January 2020. Diego's academic experience includes positions as a Junior Research Fellow and University Lecturer at the University of Oxford from October 2014 to June 2017 and a Strategic Adviser for the United Nations in 2015. Diego's educational qualifications encompass a PhD from the University of Oxford, a Master's degree with distinction from École normale supérieure de Lyon, and a BA Hons in History from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where Diego achieved the best academic record in the national cohort.
