Sumiya Mayna

Sumiya Mayna is a dedicated professional currently serving as a Pre-Major College Advisor at the School of Education – Hunter College, where responsibilities include providing program information and advisement to prospective students. Sumiya has a strong background in academic support and administrative roles, including experience as a Bridge Coach for the New Visions Bridge to College Program and Front Desk Staff at LA PALESTRA. Prior roles also include internships in project management at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and human resources at BlackRock. Sumiya holds a B.A./M.A. in Economics from Hunter College, expected in 2024, and has actively participated in various student initiatives, such as serving as a Campaign Leader for NYPIRG and a Mentee with Minds Matter.
