Nick Korbel

Nick Korbel has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2019, they joined LabArchives, LLC as a Senior Software Architect. Prior to that, they founded Twinkle Toes Software in 2013 and served as the Founder and President. At Twinkle Toes, they focused on providing professional services to support the popular open-source scheduling application, Booked.

From 2018 to 2019, Nick worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at Wayfair, specifically in Supply Chain Planning. Before that, they were an Engineering Manager at Pampered Chef from 2016 to 2018, where they prioritized creating an environment for software developers to thrive in and ensured quick delivery of valuable solutions.

Prior to Pampered Chef, Nick worked at CDK Global as a Development Manager from 2014 to 2016. In this role, they mentored and supported team members, both in the US and India, to build cool products. Nick also promoted Agile processes and tools to streamline development and delivery.

In 2013, Nick worked at Falcon Insurance Group LLC as an Architect & Senior Developer, where they were responsible for overall architecture, design, and technical vision for various products. Nick led the adoption of Agile processes and tools and utilized a toolset that included HTML5, CSS3, MVC 5, Web API 2, Knockout, and WCF.

From 2012 to 2013, Nick was a Principal Engineer at Redbox Instant by Verizon, overseeing the architecture, design, and development of platform systems and services for subscription-based streaming and VOD. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2012, they held the same role at Redbox, focusing on enterprise corporate applications and mentoring team members on various methodologies and best practices.

Nick's career started in 2003 as a Web Developer at Edward Don & Company.

Nick Korbel attended DePaul University from 1999 to 2003, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
