Andre Merza

Andre Merza has extensive work experience in the field of quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Andre started their career in 1999 as a Quality Control professional at American Asphalt Paving Company. Andre then worked as a Quality Assurance specialist at Toxikon Corp from 2000 to 2005.

In 2005, Andre joined CHARLES RIVER LABORATORIES, INC, where they held various positions such as Quality Assurance Manager and Associate Director, Quality Assurance. During their tenure, they managed sponsor and regulatory audits, conducted routine audits and gap analyses, and assisted in the development of a Master Validation program.

In 2016, Andre joined LabConnect as a Senior Director, Quality Assurance / Data Privacy Officer. Andre developed quality strategies and annual plans, maintained industry standards compliance, and directed quality control activities. In 2021, they were promoted to Vice President, Quality and Regulatory / Data Privacy Officer, where they provided oversight for quality assurance and regulatory services, served as the Data Privacy Officer, and directed Operations and the Executive Team.

Additionally, in 2021, Andre also joined Highlands Consulting as the Head of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance. In this role, they direct quality and regulatory consulting, leads client meetings and assessments, and drafts critical compliance documents.
