Rita Saraiva

Rita Saraiva serves as a Project Manager and Grants Officer at the Laboratório de Instrumentação e Física Experimental de Partículas and the SPAC - Social Physics & Complexity Lab since November 2020. Previously, Rita worked as a Lab Manager at the Champalimaud Foundation from June 2017 to November 2020 and as a Research Scientist at the University of Zurich from October 2011 to March 2017. Rita’s early career included positions as a Research Assistant at ETH Zürich and as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Zurich, as well as a Junior Scientist at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, where the focus was on molecular plant biology, specifically RNA splicing and abiotic stress resistance. Rita holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Zurich, a Master of Science in Biology from ETH Zürich, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Lisbon.
