Dr. Jimi Coker qualified from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and had his specialist surgical training in the United Kingdom with basic surgical training in Greater Manchester and higher surgical training in South Yorkshire, the Sheffield University Teaching Hospitals.
Dr. Coker’s specialist interests include advanced laparoscopic surgery for gallstones, hernias, appendicitis, and colorectal cancer. He is an expert in the management of hemorrhoids, anal prolapse, complex anal fistulas, and fissures. He is highly skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy.
He is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine, Association of Surgeons of GB and Ireland East Midlands Surgical Society, Nairobi Colorectal Society, amongst others.
Dr. Coker is the Chief Executive Officer for Lagoon Hospitals. He is also the President of the Laparoscopic Surgery Society of Nigeria.
