Katherine Hughes

Katherine Hughes is an accomplished scenic painter and set dresser with extensive experience in the film and animation industry. Katherine has been with LAIKA, LLC since July 2012, currently serving as the lead scenic painter after previously holding the position of scenic painter. Prior experience includes working as a set dresser at Laika and as a scenic painter for the Aardman film "Pirates" at Cod Steaks. Katherine also contributed as a set dresser at LAIKA, LLC earlier in their career and worked with Warner Bros as a set dresser/scenic painter. Katherine holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art BA Hons from Falmouth University, earned from 1994 to 1998.
