Sergio Benavides

Sergio Benavides is a skilled 3D artist with extensive experience across multiple roles in the visual effects and animation industry. Currently serving as an Asset Artist at LAIKA Studios since July 2023, Sergio focuses on preparing screen-ready characters and props. Previous positions include Asset Artist and Environment Artist at MPC, where responsibilities included managing small artist crews and addressing technical issues in asset production. Prior experience also encompasses roles at Mr. X, CastAndPlay, CGBOT, and other companies, specializing in character design, modeling, texturing, and problem-solving for various projects including feature films and tabletop games. Sergio's educational background includes a degree in Animation from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a 3D intensive summer program at Vancouver Film School.
