Delano Scaife

Delano Scaife is a Republican candidate for Indiana's 1st Congressional District, actively engaging with constituents to address community needs and concerns since January 2020. A resident of Porter County for over a decade, Delano has been motivated by the perceived lack of leadership from previous incumbents. Additionally, Delano serves as a Deputy Sheriff at the Lake County Sheriff's Department, overseeing individuals in custody and enforcing compliance procedures. Past experience includes a role as a Policy Analyst/Fellow in the City of Chicago Mayoral Fellowship Program, where Delano researched and developed programs to enhance community resources, as well as serving as an Engineer Technician/State Inspector for the Illinois Department of Transportation, supervising construction staff and conducting audits. Delano holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from DePaul University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Purdue University Northwest.
