Michael Wheeler

Michael Wheeler possesses extensive experience in budget management and finance, currently serving as Budget Manager in the Finance Department at Lake County since January 2009. Previously, Michael held various positions within Lake County, including Assistant Budget Manager and Senior Research/Budget Analyst. Prior roles include Management Analyst at the City of Evanston's Budget Office, Manager and Consultant at the Government Finance Officers Association, Consultant at Advanced Data Concepts, and Community Planner/Financial Analyst for the State of Illinois. Michael holds an M.A. in Public Administration from Saint Louis University and a B.A. in Political Science and African-American Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
