Cathy Walsh

Cathy Walsh has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Cathy started in the banking industry as an Assistant Vice President at Bank One, Cleveland, NA from 1984 to 1994. Cathy then transitioned to the economic development sector, working as the Site Selection & Tax Abatement Director at Lake County Economic Development Center from 1996 to 2007. Following this, they served as a Business Advisor at the Ohio Small Business Development Center from 1996 to 2010. Subsequently, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Lake County Port Authority from 2007 to 2015, where they managed a budget of over $2 million. Currently, they are the Director of the Ohio Small Business Development Center at Lakeland Community College, a position they have held since 2010. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong financial acumen, strategic planning skills, and effective leadership capabilities.

Cathy Walsh holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of Dayton. In addition, they have obtained various certifications in Economic Development, Strategic Planning, Strategic Management, and Business Advisory from institutions such as the University of Oklahoma, Association for Strategic Planning, LBL Strategies, Ltd/The George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, and Ohio Development Services Agency/University of Toledo.
